How long did you take Metformin while pregnant?!

Hiiii! I am currently 10 weeks pregnant and my RE and OB both agreed to have me stop taking at 12 weeks. I wanted to see when you ladies stopped taking Metformin during pregnancy or if you took it the entire time? I feel a bit nervous going off so wanted some insight. Thanks so much!

I'm taking it the entire pregnancy. My doc said it will help prevent gestational diabetes.

Stopped at 10 weeks. Now 23 weeks and doing great

I took it almost the entire time I was pregnant with my son. First doctor told me to stop when I found out I was pregnant. I moved and changed docs and I begged my provider to let me take it because I gained 30 pounds in my first three months. Still ended up with gestational diabetes but never stopped the metformin.

I stopped at 13 weeks after they did an early glucose test & it was within normal range, in now 23 weeks

My doctor is having me stop it at the end of the first trimester.

I’m going on 14 and I’m still taking dr said no harm and it was up to me but I slowly have been taking just one every other day after 12 weeks
