Anybody have positive c-section stories?!

I am having my first c-section with my second baby due to a severe tear with my first baby. I am looking for positive stories from people that have had c-sections!! ❤️

Keep it dry most important. I had one because baby was too big to fit naturally. My ob was on call that day so she did my surgery. The anesthesiologist talked me thru the procedure and baby was out within 10 min and I was stitched up about 25 min later. Hubby had baby in recovery room and I did skin to skin and nursed baby. Mine was at night so next day I was slowly walking.

My daughter was breech so I had to have a c section as a ftm. I had back labor so bad for over 16 hours before I realized I was in labor at 38+3. I went into the hospital the next morning at 7 because the pain was unbearable and I could breathe or stop crying. My water never broke so they waited a little longer until 11 when my doctor came in and had to do an ultrasound to see if she had flipped yet or not he said she’s still breech we’re going to give you three options we try to turn her which could possibly hurt her or you can go for a c section obviously I pocked c section. At this time it was about 3:30 in the afternoon. I asked him when he was going to schedule it for he said 5 I said uhm? What day? He said today. Of course I was in complete shock that I was going to have my babygirl today. Still being in pain he told me the anesthesiologist will be here in about 20 minutes then you won’t feel anything from your bully button down I said okay and tried to relax. 5 minutes and he was there! It was hard trying to sit still for the epidural but a nurse was in front of me he holding my shoulders.  Literally a poke later and I didn’t fell anything. Went into the OR at 5 pm (I couldn’t feel a thing) doctor came in and she was out by 5:31 pm on 11/19/17. You will get 1 hour in the recovery room with your baby and then go to your room where they will bring baby in you’ll be awake and still won’t feel anything. They will get you up a couple hours after to walk to oreventblood clots or anything.  But the next day don’t expect to be happy you just had your baby and you want to hold him/her cause you’re going to be knocked out by all the pain meds they gave you and sleep literally all day long then the next day you’re going to be in a little pain but still not bad mostly soreness. Advise: Get the belly band if they ask you if you want it, move as much as you possibly can weather it’s moving the bed up and down or sitting on the edge if not you’re going to be so sore youll think you cant do it, also when you go to cough sit all the way up with the pillow On your stomach. They say the pillow helps but that’s the only way I could make it work. And when I was in the bathroom or something and have to cough I would hold on to the the counter in front of the sink kind of bent over. I had a bunch of mucous in my chest and throat after my surgery. So trying to get phlegm out by coughing after a c section? Yea it hurt like hell. But you should as the days go on finding it a little easier to move around and it not hurt so bad. When you get home it’s still going to hurt a little but don’t walk stairs or inclines because it hurts bad. Also good luck to you and hope you recover fast💕

I had to have a scheduled c section because my baby was too big. It was honestly a nice experience! I had been planning a natural birth the whole time but at the end I didn't dilate and it was obvious it wasn't going to happen naturally. It was nice though because I had the whole morning to relax and prepare. It was very calm and the medical team was in and out throughout the morning then I had my c section at noon. It went great. Actually going in to the OR and getting on the table was absolutely terrifying and I started panicking, and the spinal was AWFUL but then once it actually began it was no big. I was pretty lucid and it was super surreal feeling because I had no feeling at all but I knew obviously my bottom half was open and they were pulling my baby out. Within 11 minutes my baby was out and crying and they showed him to me and my husband held him next to me. Then they stitched me up which didn't take long and it seemed like it wasn't long at all before I was back in the room with my son and husband. Recovery wasn't bad. My time in the hospital was rough but once I got home I was good as new. It hurt to get out of bed for a while but I learned that grabbing my knee and using it to pull myself up from laying down was much better on my incision. You'll do great! Don't listen to the horror stories.

I'm a first time mom I had a c section 2 weeks ago. I was 39 weeks but it was a still birth. Besides losing my baby the c section went great I was scared about the pain and had a lot of what ifs in my head but my hub calmed me down and my ma and dad. It took them 3 minutes to get the baby out and 10-15 min to put me back together. The healing processes was great as well it doesn't hurt anymore. I hope is goes well for you and I'm sure you're in great hands. I was worried for nothing
