Nesting Question?

Question

When you started nesting and washing your babies clothes and etc what all did you wash? Just the clothes, just the blanket, bathroom towels and rags? Everything even bibs and socks? I'm a FTM and I just don't want to miss anything that should be washed

I'm washing everything! I want nothing to do with laundry when we first come home with baby! I'm sterilizing bottles next week.

I'm a FTM as well, I just washed everything just because I didn't know where it was or what it was exposed to prior to coming into my home.

I've heard it's best to only wash a few outfits as the baby outgrows quickly and you can exchange what doesn't fit. I would think it's a safe bet to wash bedding, blankets, towels.

I've only washed a couple of outfits. I'm a FTM as well. I've researched and seeing that babies grow so fast I would like to be able to exchange stuff she doesn't get a chance to wear.
We also have a sanitize setting on our washer/dryer that's great for stuff like this.

I washed everything that was washable, if I didn't think it would get ruined by washing it then it got washed lol. I hear that you wanna wash all the clothes before the baby wears them because of chemicals in the dye. And even though I know my baby girl may not get to wear all her clothes I figured it would be more convenient to have them all ready and washed for her to wear.

I washed everything that you are gonna use on baby when born like 0-3months clothes blankets towels ECT or MAYB newborn n prime clothes

I washed as i went. I do a load or two a day anyways so throwing an outfit or two in as we go was worth it cause I was able to return what still had tags for bigger sizes!! Even if I did it weekly. It would be worth it... Crib sheets and blankets were washed as we went to use them. We have blankets from 4 years ago that still haven't been opened!

I wouldn't wash all your babies clothes right away. Babies grow fast, and if you have a lot of clothes they may not wear all of them. And you can't return them if they are washed.
