How often does your baby breastfeed?

My son is almost 10 months old and still nurses every 2-3 hours during the day, sleeping through the night. This just seems like a lot at his age!

Breastmilk or formula is primary nutrition until 1. My son is 9 months and still nurses every two hours during the day (sometimes shorter sometimes a little longer if we’re busy and he’s distracted) and he still wakes at night 2-4 times (he was sleeping through the night but then was teething and sick so that went out the window). 
It’s Normal. They nurse for comfort, too, at times. 
You can def try stretching out times if you want but they may try to makeup for it at night. It just depends on the baby. I don’t mind waking up at night too much and I don’t mind him nursing like he does during the day either, it tends to fall around his nap times and when he wakes up.

My boy will be 10 months in one week and he still nurses approx. 4-6 times a day. I have decided I’m going to let him wean and figure out when he doesn’t need it anymore himself, but I keep hearing people say that breastmilk is their main nutrition source until age 1

That's normal, especially since milk (formula or breast) should be their main nutrician before year 1. If you plan to breastfed beyond one year, then it's also normal. Should eat normal solids after one, but if you're still nursing that's perfectly fine for him to be nursing that much. I feed on demand still, and she does baby led weaning. So she feeds herself solid foods, but always has milk before every meal. She wakes up 2 to 4 times a night to nurse and we cosleep. She nurses every 3 to 4 hours, sometimes more since she's teething pretty badly lately.

He nurses upon waking, to get to sleep for nap#1, after nap#1, nap #2, after nap#2, and bedtime.  He sleeps through the night.  Nursing to get to sleep usually isn't much, which is why I have him nurse again when he wakes up.  He eats between 6-8 oz of puree at lunch and dinner, along with some puffs or snacks of some sort, and he has a yogurt and some sort of snack food for breakfast.  Working on getting him to eat real foods... slow going.

My 9.5mo is the same! She seems to want to nurse a lot but she does sleep about 12 hours at night without nursing so maybe she needs to nurse more during the day to get enough. I think a lot of it is for comfort though. I want to try to wean her around a year so I'm worried about how that will go. will you continue breastfeeding for a while?
