Paid Leave?

Any ladies out there getting paid maternity leave? I work for a small company. I found out today, 3 weeks before my due date, that benefits have changed & I won't be getting any sort of compensation. Little surprising. & Trusting God!

Oh my gosh that is terrible! I'm very lucky to live in Austria and have paid maternity for two years starting 8 weeks before estimated due date.

Did they update the changes in writing after you told them you were pregnant? You should call a lawyer.

Wouldn't you grandfather into the previous agreement? You were pregnant when that was active... Make sure you double check with HR and if that doesn't help reach out and find a union or a lawyer

I'm a hairdresser,  don't get paid if I don't work and have to pay booth rent for the weeks I'm out.  So since this is my 2 nd child I learned from the first to start putting back a little each week from the day I found out I was expecting and now at 38 weeks I have 7 weeks paid and some extra to go on :)

I get paid 80% of my pay for 6 weeks from when he's born! Working until Wednesday being induced Thursday! Good luck to you I'm praying everything goes well for you 💪🏻

We get 16 wks paid parental leave I think. It's less than half what I make though cos we have our own business.

With things like leave you are sort of stuck with what the company has even if it changes while you are pregnant. You can try to call an attorneys but I am not sure it will do much good ( at least where I practice law)

I work for a health company (!) and my leave is unpaid. Total bummer. The US is the worst ranked first world country in maternity policies... And terrible outcomes!
