Rectal stimuli for constipated newborn?

I'm so sad my poor 6 day old is so constipated  - nothing in 4 days. She is now so fussy and cries for so long it breaks my heart. 
  I read you can do rectal stimuli but is it safe on an infant? We don't have vascilene so would lubricant work? Help pleas e

I wouldn't do That if baby is breastfed they can wait up to 10 days without pooping. they aren't constipated unless the poop that comes out is pellet hard. your babies body is just learning how to work so they have to learn how to use the muscle that controls pooping

This is what I did to my son and it really worked, I rolled a very small piece of toilet paper and dipped it in olive oil and put it in his butt and turned the rolled up piece of tissue the opposite way of which I rolled it and then I took it out and pressed his legs against his stomach and he pooped

some breastfed babies stay a while before they go. I did use the rectal stimuli method when my baby was little. try rubbing her Tommy and cycling her legs.

We used a thermometer, but there are also glycerin suppositories. Call the doctor’s office in the morning and see what they recommend.

talk to your baby’s pediatrician. its not normal for a breastfed baby to go that long without pooping at 6 days old
