did i test too early

so i have been reading that you can basically take a pregnancy test about a week after conception and it can turn out positive if pregnant. Out of the 7 day mark glow said i was pregnant we had sex 4x

my last period ended december the 30th. i was on birth control for about 7 months. I took 1 pregnancy test 8 days before my expected period but came out NEGATIVE.

i really fee the same the only thing is i have been getting very mild cramps below my abdomen. Sometimes i feel it on the left side more or at times it switches to the right side.? could i be pregnant maybe i just tested too early. my boobs don’t hurt or anything. i am 22 years old
