Anyone had their first scan without even seeing a midwife for a booking in appointment?

Okay so I am 10 weeks tomorrow and only registered myself as pregnant yesterday, late I know.

But I’ve had two other children and I know they won’t do anything or see you till 8-10 weeks anyway.

So I self registered online as you have to do and had an email saying I will get a call within 10-14 days with my first booking in appointment.

It then went on to say if by this time you are needing your 12 week scan, the hospital will be in touch with a date and not the midwife?

Anyone else heard of this?

I just thought I’d have a late 12 week scan (13-14 weeks instead maybe)

I didn’t know they’d scan you before seeing your own midwife..
