Wedding ring RASH?💍💍💍💍

Anyone experience a rash on the finger where you wear your ring !??? Mine has been going on for months now ,I feel horrible taking my ring of but I feel like my finger is super scaly and going to fall of !😭 been wearing it forever and only started happening a few months ago ..(ring is white gold) 💍💍💍💍💍💍
Any advice?

that happens to me when water gets under the ring. I take it off and in a few days it goes away. now i take my rings off everytime i wash my hands and make sure they are dried well before putting my ring back on

I have a white gold ring and would get a terrible rash!! I had it plated/dipped in rhodium and I’ve been able to wear it with no issues since then!

Unfortunately a lot of jewelers do plate. Especially if it’s white gold. Not that it’s not a real 14k ring, but it’s also the metals that are mixed to make the ring and color. My husbands first ring was titanium and after a few months he couldn’t wear it and we had to get him a new one because he was allergic. If you take it an independent jeweler they might be able to help. The big ones are just not doing things properly. I’m so sorry to hear this though.

Do you take your rings off to shower/wash dishes/cook? Mine will sometimes get moisture trapped under and will clause a blistery rash.

It sounds like it needs to be redipped the external coating has probably rubbed off and you’re having a reaction to the metals underneath.

Yep I had this too. I had to let my finger completely heal. I actually ending up loosing my wedding band for like 3 months and just wore my engagement ring with no issues. If eventually found my band and now wear them both. I have to make sure to not get my finger wet at all while my ring is on and make sure it’s completely dry before putting it back on. I also don’t sleep with them on and if I’m home a lot I minimize wearing them just to avoid another rash. I’m pretty sensitive to metals, and my husband said he got a kind that I’m ok with. But who knows what they actually gave him. Just let your finger heal and maybe see if you can get a different ring with a different metal if it keeps coming back

Your likely allergic to another metal that is in the ring. Weather it’s 10k or 14k or 16k it’s mixed with other metals to make it denser (since gold is such a soft metal) 
I had an ex that was only able to wear tungsten carbide. Everything else broke him out (including gold and silver)

Maybe you have an allergy? 
My aunt and cousin are both allergic to gold and silver. They never wear jewelry. Maybe try putting your wedding ring in the safe and getting another ring made of something you don’t break out from? I have one made of black coral that is very pretty.
