Hair growing back 5 days after wax!?!?!

I went through hell and paid a pretty penny to get a Brazilian wax done. Day after it was so nice and smooth. Now, 5 days later, THERE ARE HAIRS ALREADY GROWING IN. I’m actually really annoyed, is this normal after a first wax? I mean I was told by various people, my waxer included that I’ll be smooth down there for a full week at least if not two. But 5 days? Cmon. I didn’t shave for an entire month, I don’t see how hairs that have been ripped from the follicle can grow back in 5 days.

I commented on a waxing post before and was attacked for what i said because another woman disagreed with me. BUT here it goes again... the first few times you get a brazillian, it is common that the wax does not grab each hair from the root. Some just break off at the surface. So those hairs come back pretty quick. After a few waxes, you will notice that will stop happening

Pretty normal for me at least. There are different cycles of hair that grow.. so while the hair that was just waxed won’t come back for 2 weeks or so, there’s several other cycles of hair that will still grow if that makes sense.

It’s normal.  After you wax regularly it won’t happen, it’s because the hairs grow in cycles.  Good news is subsequent waxes won’t get so much!!

hmmm, depends on a few factors..
I've seen a few waxers until now and I'm an actual Brazilian living in Brazil. My current waxer, who's also an esthetician, explained me ages factors that may make your hair grow back faster even when you're waxing..
1- The frequency that you wax.
   the more frequent it is, the more you damage your folicules.. that will make some hairs NEVER grow back again!! :D
2- The force applied by the waxer when they pull the wax from your skin.
  if it's an aggressive pull, more than needed, may actually cut the hair near the base and not rip it intact from the folicule and that will definitely make your hair grow faster
3- EXFOLIATE
   Before going waxing, in the previous day/night, exfoliate the area you'll wax. This gets rid of the dead skin and makes easier for the hair to come out whole, adding a few more days for you to enjoy with a smooth skin

Yes this is completely normal. He more you go, the more that hair slows down in growth. The hair will also become a lot finer and smoother causing less ingrown hairs. But you need to go regularly and never shave between waxes. Once you shave, your basically starting the process over again.

My hair grows incredibly fast. I wouldn't get waxed because every time I get goosebumps (which i do in anything less than 73 degrees) my hair grows back. It'd be a waste. That's why I stick to shaving.
