Owlet baby moniter???

Anyone still using any kind of oxygen-baby monitor that takes care of the little ones breathing..? I’ve stopped using it since my son started sitting up by himself. As till today he was sleeping with me I felt safe cuz i knew I am there to look after him and also he used to wake up 2-3 times at night beside me. So from today I put him in his crib in his room and just thinking that whether the owlet monitor is required or not. My baby can sit up by himself and stand up too while holding the crib walls. Hez going to be a year old in 3 days
