hello ladies, i’m in need of a chat.

have any of you experienced low sex drive/libido as a side effect of antidepressants?

i’ve been on sertraline (zoloft) for a month and a half now and i’ve not been intimate with my boyfriend since starting them. i don’t have any desire to do anything sexual whatsoever. i don’t even want to kiss him for an extended period of time. i don’t ever think about sex (etc) since i started taking sertraline and i almost get mad and irritable when my BF tries anything or talks about it!

i can tell it’s bothering him and he thinks he’s the problem - even though i reassure him he’s definitely not. i’ve even thought about having sex with him, even though i won’t want or feel the urge to, just in order to please him but i know it’s not right to think that way.

do you think this is a side effect that will go away? every part of my life is more or less stable thanks to my meds. it’s just this that is driving me insane!!
