hair regrowth from minoxidil?

i have been struggling with hair loss for the past year from birth control. 6 months ago i started rogaine and its been working however im going through a thinning/shed period now(havent experienced it yet). ive heard people start seeing results around 6 months but my hair still looks awful wet...anyways i took pics of my scalp because i noticed black dots or shadows around follicles.
