Has anybody used clomipramine for their fur baby??

Caitlin

Ok so about a year ago we adopted a beautiful cane corso mastiff (which is already known to be a powerful breed and not recommend for first time dog owners) we have experience with dogs and decided to adopt him. He was found on the side of the road very malnourished, half of one of his paws are gone, and his ears and tail cropped but done very poorly. His ears are very rigid and looks like somebody did it themselves at home. He was known

to be aggressive but we took him and absolutely fell in love with him! He also loves us and is as sweet as can be to us and close to family and friends he sees often. We also have a lab that he gets along great with. But when it comes to strangers and taking him in public he gets very aggressive towards strangers. He has been on one on one aggression classes with a reputable trainer in our area which has helped but he is having a very hard time with new people. Our vet recommended putting him on clomipramine to help. I was nervous putting him on medications but just want him to be a happy pup and have best quality of life as possible. Didn’t know if anybody had any success stories with this med, if so I would love to hear it!
