I am getting blood drawn, and an ultrasound next Friday to test for disability for my baby, and I ask if they tested for the gender with the blood draw, they said they can but they don't usually do it anymore because most insurance companies refuse to pay for it and if I wanted it, I'd have to pay $1800 for it. I'm not mad at that, I'm just curious why a insurance wouldn't pay for it? I'm 100% okay with waiting till 20wks.
