Help!!!

My dog hates my SO, I have three dogs and my chihuahua is terrified of my boyfriend. he came from a bad background and was beaten which had caused a fear of men for him. If he does something wrong and my SO tries to calm him or go near him he starts screaming out as if he is being hurt and today he got so scared he bit my SO. I’m so lost on what to too
