When does your OB want to see you?

According to LMP I am 4 wks 3 days.. I will be 6 wks 2 days when I have my first appointment which is ONLY to give my health history. I will then probably see the OB around 8 weeks. Is it normal to wait this long??

My due date is 2/1/16 and I have an appt for 6/8/15 so I will be 6 wks...I haven't had to do this in 6yrs so going through this going to be like a new experience for me...I'm excited and nervous all at once

Just made my appointments! My ob does the same thing- orientation/screening at 6 weeks first appointment 8 weeks. Mine are more like 7 and 8.5 based on my travel schedule this month for work :-( wah I just want to stay home and hide until I can share the news! Lol

That is pretty normal for pregnancy with no miscarriage history.

I will be close to 9 weeks for my first appointment.   OBs here won't see you until 8 weeks minimum, to reduce risk of seeing you prior to miscarriage and likelihood of seeing viable heartbeat.  Feels like a long time but rather it be a more productive appointment than go early and worry!

I'm 4 weeks and 5 days , I have my appt until June 26 . They inform me I need to be 8wks to be seeing for blood test and a lot of paper work .. Meanwhile I take care of my self by continue doing my workout , eating healthy  , taking my prenatal and drinking plenty of water..
