Did cervadil put you in labor?

I'm currently being induced at 37 weeks and 4 days, They put cervadil in and said it stays for about 12 hours and if it does nothing then they'll try something else in the morning. Did it do anything for you and what was your experience like?

I'm being induced in July but my friend had cervadil put in last night & she had her baby this morning! Her water broke on its own this morning, after the cervadil, & she started having contractions without any pitocin. Her baby girl was born in only a few pushes after she was dilated. It was her first baby. I'm hoping for the same outcome.

I'm the one who made the post, I had in me for about 3 hours and it made my body contract way too much and way too frequent so they removed it.

I answered "yes" because my water broke. That's all. I was given pitocin too

It didn't work for me. It hyper stimulated my uterus and gave my crazy contractions that were non-productive. They then sent me home with an Ambien to rest and had me come back later the next day to try pitocin, which worked.

It didn't work for me so they gave me pitocin but I wish I had tried pumping first. If you want ask them if you can pump for few hours off and on it has been known to help some women go into labor without pitocin. pitocin I believe is what caused my feet to swell so big that they were killing me for two weeks after I had my baby
