Nipple piercing

So i got my nipples pierced almost a year ago & before I got them done I did my research about breastfeeding & stuff like that. It said that I was still going to be able to breastfeed if I take them off & let them close. A lot of my friends had them pierced before I did & took them out when they found out they were pregnant & they haven’t been able to breastfeed. I’m afraid that will happen to me. Do these situations occur depending on ones body?
