am I ovulating??

Question

had bloods taken day 21 of cycle to see if I'm ovulating. PROGESTERONE 
Serum progesterone level 0.6 nmol/L
Interpretation of result :-
(correct timing is 7 days prior to menstruation)  I never understand doctors notes lol. anyone understand?

Answer

You should have the progesterone test halfway through your luteal phase (7 days after ovulation and 7 days before AF).
If you ovulated on cd12 then you should test cd19.
But if you ovulated later (eg cd18) then you shouldn’t have the progesterone test until cd 25.
Sounds like you had the progesterone test done too early!
