Is a baby shower necessary?

Third pregnancy, I have a boy and a girl. This one is twins. My family thinks I should have one, but I feel like i would seem greedy. I don't know. My youngest is 4 so I do need a lot, we sold a lot of our things a while ago when we were moving. What do you think? Would you if you were me or wouldn't you?

If someone is throwing you a shower then it's totally okay. If you're throwing one for yourself, it may be seen as tacky, or asking for gifts. You could do an alternative, like a gender reveal or baby sprinkle (don't really know what the difference is from a shower) if no one is willing to throw a shower for or with you.

A baby shower is a lovely time for friends and family to get together, regardless of what number child you are on. Your guests will have fun as long as there's some yummy food and drink. 😊

A baby shower is never "necessary". It's up to you if you want to have one or not. There are also other alternatives like a diaper shower if you don't want to do a traditional baby shower.

I think it's fine. I know some one who did the same thing. It could be a "baby sprinkle" its understandable because your having twins.

If you're worried about people buying you more gifts, why don't your limit the gifts to diapers and wipes? People will want to give you something to help (especially since it's twins) and you'll need plenty of diapers and wipes! Have a diaper/wipes shower but make it all about sharing this experience with family and friends instead of gift giving!

I have a 5 yr old and i got rid of a lot of things, so i plan on having a shower again.
