Planning your own Babyshower?

Any of you ladies planning your own babyshower? I'm typically the event planner in the family and I've had a few offers to help with my babyshower but I can't help but feel guilty especially with 2 of them being in my wedding last August and another dealing with a lot of family medical problems. I don't mind planning my own shower but of course needing someone to host the day of. I actually prefer to plan the shower myself as I love planning events and again don't want to be a burden on anyone.

My bestie is planning my/our co-Ed shower with funds and input from my hubby. He chose a wonderful location and food/drink package from the restaurant and consulted me on that as well as the guest list but other than that she gets to plan/design everything and I will be surprised. I gave a few hints on things, like the kind of cake I want (not design) and a color I did not want used in the theme. This way she gets the fun planning part but since we want to have a lot of people we are taking on all the financial responsibility.

I am planning my own and getting no help from anyone ... I know it will be stressful but  no choice...

I'm suggesting my mom and mil both share the planning but I def get a say in everything. I'm a control freak, yes, but I also have completely different tastes than either woman. I can't believe I'm even backing off as far as I am lol

I planned my own shower with my mom. It was stressful and expensive.

I am planning my own baby shower with some “help” from my mother. We aren’t doing anything extravagant and really don’t want to burden someone else with throwing me one so I took the liberty of booking the location already before anyone could offer.
