Fibroids??!!!

I just went for my annual exam and I have been trying to conceive since July. My doctor wants me to go get a sonogram/ultrasound/xray(?dont know the right term?) and when she did exam she said she felt what could be fibroids. Everything that I’ve looked up on the subject sounds like what my symptoms in the past were, but ever since June, when I met my current boyfriend, my periods have been completely normal and regular, which wasn’t the case for a very long time. Now I need to have this X-ray done and I’m really anxious. I’m 34 and I waited to have kids because I didn’t think I was ready, and now I’ve met this great guy who wants the same future as I do, and he’s older as well with no kids. I feel very scared that I may have missed my chance to get pregnant now. Anyone have any similar circumstances or know something that could give me a forewarning? Good or bad, the suspense is killing me...
