I LOVE it!! Steel is such a strong name. If we have a boy, Im thinking Slater (Slate):) if YOU like it, that's all that matters!

It is definitely a unique choice - myself I might switch the order

Matthew Steel (Last Name)

That way you can call him steel but he  isn't stuck with such an original first name
