If you used a home Doppler, when could you first hear the heartbeat?

I will be receiving my Sonoline Doppler in the mail soon and was thinking about the best time to try without stressing too much. I was thinking 10 weeks?

My husband and i could hear the heart beat at 9 weeks but the doppler couldn’t calculate the rate.

I received mine in the mail last week at 11 wks we found the heart beat right away. But finding the heart beat can be very tricky as they like to move

It depends on if your bladder is full and how much “padding” you have on your stomach. If you’re a bigger girl, it might be difficult to find early on. 
With my pregnancies (my first born and a surrogacy), I’ve tried around 10 weeks and I make sure my bladder is full. I don’t usually have issues finding the heartbeat. I’m 9 weeks now with baby number 2, so I’m tempted to try tonight.

I started trying to find baby at 10 weeks, which is when I received my doppler. It took me a while but I found the heartbeat for about 2 seconds, then baby moved and I lost it. Same thing when I tried at 11 weeks, and I haven’t tried since.

9 weeks for us! It calculated 176bpm. Spot on! We’re now 12w3d and yesterday it clocked it at 171. It’s so reassuring to hear that sweet sound.
