My baby hit his head on the corner of a table reaching for a rattle he dropped :( how would I know if something was wrong?

Happened Sunday night. It left a bruise :( He’s been fussy today but my husband thinks it’s from being tired.
I’m a very worried first time mama

If baby cries right away, seems alert, no vomiting , and eventually calms down they are fine. Their heads have more give than older harder head humans. Our baby rolled off the lounge chair while we were grabbing an umbrella to block the sun. Left a bruise and tiny scar but she was fine otherwise. Definitely a good sign to start baby proofing soon :)
