Umbilical cord?

So my daughters umbilical cord fell off on Monday. Just today it started bleeding. No one told me how to take care of it after it falls off. All I was told is she can’t be bathed fully until it falls off. Is there anything I need to do? It’s still really brownish black and crusty.

just use a q-tip w a bit of rubbing alcohol it should help. it won't hurt at all !

you can swab it with rubbing alcohol to help dry the rest of it out.

I was told to not use alcohol or any treatments on it, just leave it be and let it heal on its own, as long as it doesnt have any signs of infection.

my midwife told me to just leave it and keep it dry, if it wasn't drying up to use a little peroxide on it with a qtip. my babes fell off at 5days and today at 3.5 weeks it's finally looking like a normal button
