Can you have a yeast infection while on your period ?

Every time I insert my tampon it’s gets itchy and I have HUGE blood clots .. is this normal ?? Any suggestions?

Even though menstrual blood can help balance the PH in your vagina, it won't cure it. Try using pads for a while til it clears up, wear loose-ish cotton undies/pants, keep the area clean and dry, and get an OTC yeast infection pack from your drug store. I would recommend splurging ($$) for the "1-day ovule" as the cheaper 3-day and 7-day creams are a pain in the A$$ and can get really gross 😖. 
OR if you have a Minute Clinic anywhere near you, they can give you a Rx pill (Diflucan) that will clear it up in 24-48 hours. 🙃 I personally prefer the pill. Sorry you're going through this, I hate those things so much! I used to get them regularly.
