Tanning while not pregnant isn't healthy. Tanning while pregnant is especially unhealthy.

Never do a tanning bed. A) it puts you at risk for skin cancer B) they are filled with bacteria!

If you're sitting out in the sun, be very careful as the hormonal changes can make your skin more sensitive. I know someone who say out to tan by the pool down here in Florida and ended up with horrible brownish spots everywhere. Be very careful, your skin is different right now.

Why tan at all? It has no health benefits, only harm. Being in the medical field, I see way too many people with regrets about the decisions they make when they're young. Tanning is one of those. It's not always "just chop off that weird mole", sometimes it's a fight for your life. It's just not worth the risk.

You need to be very careful not to get over heated, babies need a certain temperature to produce proteins for brain development. Staying in the hot sun too long is just like how docs tell you not to get in a hot tub because it increases your body temp

Walk around outside with a lot of sunscreen on to get a little color, but I don't suggest laying out for very long.. You'll get very dehydrated and very hot and it's not very good for baby. So IF YOU DO, just go outside don't necessarily lay out and tan
