I finally decided that I wanted to go on the birth control pill. I just picked up my first pack from planned parenthood about a week ago. The nurse I had told me it is fine to have unprotected sex after the 7th day and that I should be fully protected.

I have a few questions about this:

1) After the 7th day, would I get pregnant if my boyfriend finished in me and we didn’t use a condom? Is this true to others/have worked for you?

2) Sometimes I take my pill 30-45 mins late, but it’s always around the time I usually take it. I’m on combo pill. Does this make it less effective?

I’m currently taking ortho tri-cyclen lo if that helps.
