Please comment below if you have any suggestions on how to continue substituting regular milk for formula but still soften her poop..

Yes, whole milk definitely causes hard stools. My son was having extremely hard stools as well. We had taken him to a gastrologist for another issue but while there i mentioned this to him and he said to use miralax. I was hesitant because i thought miralax was only for adults but he said its just as good for children. He said to do two tablespoons in his milk once a day but to make sure he finishes that bottle. He also said that if its still hard to increase the amount of miralax or if the stool is too soft to decrease the amount. It does take a day or two to start working but let me tell you it works like a charm!!! The downside is that you have to use it everyday but other than that its great and totally worth it.
