Wine or Beer?

Hi mamas! I'm craving a glass of wine or a beer soooooo bad. I'm 27 weeks and baby and I have been super healthy so far with no complications. Is it safe to have one drink? This is my first pregnancy and I've been so paranoid about everything!

I'm going to have the unpopular opinion and say no. I'm not a doctor and i do enjoy wine (when im not pregnant) but the way I think about it is that alcohol is poison and the way it affects our bodies is really negative so imagine what it could do to your growing baby. just not something I would risk

While if probably isn't going to do anything having just one small glass....because scientists don't know what amount of alcohol or at what stage of pregnancy FAS occurs it's better to just avoid it all together. If something ever happened heaven forbid ...you'd likely never forgive yourself and always blame that one glass. If you really crave beer or wine ...buy the non alcoholic variety which gives can buy at any grocery store. Will get you through the craving without the guilt :)

Yea just don’t do it- you don’t have too much longer and it’ll make you feel better to not have to wonder or worry if it did something. It’s just not worth the risk in my opinion

I wouldn’t because I wouldn’t be able to live with myself if anything was wrong with baby. So, even though I’d LOVE a glass of ice cold white wine, I’m just going to wait.

For special occasions I get Becks Non Alcoholic beer. I have 1 maybe 2 and that's it and not often.

I’m planning on having one small glass at a girls weekend I’m going to when I’m 32 weeks. My doc said one is fine

Your blood is baby’s blood. So your BAC is baby’s BAC.... while you have a developed, healthy & active liver- baby’s is tiny and not prepared to tackle the degradation of any amount of alcohol. Would you put (just ONE) glass of wine in a bottle for baby? Of course not... then again, you wouldn’t blend up a big mac and serve it to baby either, but plenty of preggos drive thru for a craving! 😂 You won’t cause lifelong damage to your baby if you drink a glass of wine... but you might be able to pat yourself on the back if you resist the urge and eventually get to brag to your older child that you did everything you possibly could do give them the best start. My eldest son has asked me if I ever drank while pregnant and I got a huge hug and a genuine “thanks Mom” that literally made my heart full. #resist ....they are worth the sacrifice. ❤️

I'm craving a glass of red wine! I think technically one glass or beer wouldn't do anything to the baby but I'm just going to wait it out, I've gone this long without it I might as well wait another 12 weeks.

No to beer yes to wine. Both pregnancies I've had a glass of white wine, no problems. They get concerned that when you have one you'll want more therefore leading to fas but just control yourself
