I need opinions about my periods please!
I've an appt scheduled with a new OB for Thursday but it'd sure be nice to hear from other women. I have a history of endometriosis and a retroverted uterus. Husband and I have 1 son together who is 4. We've been very actively ttc for about 16 months now. My previous Dr did a laporoscooy last July to remove the endometriosis and said I should be pregnant in no time! Even said if I'm not in 2-3 months I need to call him. I wasn't and he allowed me to try clomid. I was only allowed to try for 1 month. Nothing happened so Dr said we needed DH checked. We got him checked and his results were a little low, but far from tragic. My cycles are normal for the most part (occasional short cycles - less than 26 days), but my period this month is quite terrible. I usually have cramps/diarrhea maybe a day before and a day into my period. This period started today and has been horrific. It's my 4th consecutive day of nearly debilitating cramps and lower back pain, the flow is ridiculous (had to wear a tampon and pad and changed my tampon 5 times in 1 hour at one point today) and the clots are unreal. One of them actually could've been my kidney (kidding of course, but they're very much unusually large). I think I'm basically wondering if anyone else's periods are so awful? Is this a possible reason we aren't pg yet? Anyone have any unusual reasons for infertility? I'm trying to see if there's anything specific I should ask the Dr about. I'm sorry this is so long, but I feel it all may be relevant. Thank you to anyone who alas any advice :)
