Yall... So there's no easy way to say this.. But his parents are racist and don't approve of me because I'm black! Now, I'm definitely black! big afro and all! His family is Guatemalan, they came to Texas 14 years ago, and they're Catholic.. I'm 19 and he is 20, we are both nursing students and we like eachother very very much. Last night he broke the news to me and he had a big ol ugly cry (he has the ugliest cry imaginable). I was bullied all through out Elementary and MS because the color of my skin; so it doesn't bother me that his parents don't like me because km black.. It bothers me that he CAN'T like me because I'm black! I'm thinking "Dude, you're 20! Just get some moxy and stand up for us!" but I can't tell him that because everything they do is based on family!..... What do I do?!?!?
