Is this compliment flattering?

My husband is sweet - but he gave me a compliment that gave me mixed feelings? Haha
  I just had our baby and I was telling him that I didn't feel attractive because of everything with my body being post partum etc... 
  He told me," hey you taking care of our daughter is what's attractive to me." 
 Haha idk why I am off put by that - I just can't decide if that was sweet or not lol?? Idk

i'd take it as a sweet one. i think for most guys its about looks until they see you give birth and taking care of their baby and it becomes about so much more :)

I think it's sweet. He means seeing you be a mother to his child is attractive to him, I understand. It makes me love my husband more when I see him taking care of our son.

He probably did not mean for it to come off how you took it! It’s a very very sweet compliment. I’m sure he still finds you physically attractive, him saying that was just his way of trying to boost up your confidence, to give you something else you should feel good about rather than just focusing on your physical appearance. Guys don’t really think waaaay into their compliments, it probably sounded perfectly fine to him. Us women overthink a little much sometimes! 🤪

I think he’s just trying to make you feel good about being a good mom. Maybe your body is different and he does see that but he obviously doesn’t care. If you are uncomfortable in your own skin then work on it when you can, but he’s there for you regardless ❤️

The intention behind it was positive, but I can see how it can be taken like he was agreeing with you not being physically attractive at the time.
