How soon should I test?

My husband and I have been trying to get pregnant for years. I have a 9 year old but he has no kids biologically. We both had surgeries and are back to normal. This month my most fertile day was the 27th according to this app. We made sure to practice making a baby that night. It's been so long since I was pregnant I forget how it feels. But, I am feeling really really nautious today and my first pregnancy I was sick for the first almost 5 months. I am staying positive I don't get my period on the 10th. Should I wait till then to test or is sooner okay? Any advice is good advice :)
