brown blood ???

i’ve been on birth control for 1 month and two weeks. i started the very first pack on the first day of my period which was the 16 of december all the way to the 24. then, i got it january 11 through the 14. so it went from a 9 day period to a 4 day period. i had unprotected sex on the 10 of jan ( the day before my period ) but he did NOT cum inside me. and the 25 i started spotting with red/dark brown blood. it got heavier over the next few days and yesterday it was enough blood to almost fill up a whole regular sized tampon with dark blood. but this should be the time that i’m ovulating. is this normal on birth control ? i’m worries it could be implantation bleeding. or could it be ovulation bleeding.
