How to be ok with giving up?

We've been TTC for 19 months. Fertility treatments for 8 months. I have PCOS (not weight or insulin related) and my periods hurt so bad. I can't function when I have them, and it's starting to affect my work. I just bled for 21 days straight, and we decided it's time to go back on the pill. Has anyone else given up TTC? How did you cope?

We are planning on adopting in a few years after we make a major move. But it's still difficult to give up
