Yes, because I am trying to have the most natural birth possible in a hospital. While I understand the importance of being flexible, I also want to avoid unnecessary interventions.

Birth pland are important not because it states what you want for your birth, but more as a tool. A birth plan is about educating yourself on all your options as opposed to a hard and fast plan for your labor. Educate yourself so you can advocate for yourself; you are the only one that can do that!! Then you will have the best birth that you can!

Have to in the uk, but mine basically says 'I'm open to whatever you think is medically necessary & any of the pain relief options if I think I need it, my husband wants to cut the cord and I want my husband to announce the sex of the baby'.

I really want a water birth at the hospital, (giving birth in a pool) what are the chances of me getting that if all goes well, im 22 and this is my first pregnancy :)

I wasn't going to but as we are team green I recently decided that I want my DH to announce boy or girl instead of a dr... Other than that one specific thing my plan more or less includes safely delivering this baby as quickly and painlessly as possible!
