Baby Grace Elara was born on the 25th Feb 18, weighing 6lb 8oz, and has been an absolutely lovely addition to our family.

Her birth wasn’t exactly what i had planned.. I had a planned elective c section. Unfortunately the doctors said my vertebrae were very close together and they tried repeatedly (over an hour) to place the spinal block but they just couldn’t make it happen. So they put me to sleep, which I’m absolutely gutted about. Neither my partner or I saw her be born, which was so important to us.

Recovery has been hard, I don’t remember it being this hard with my first c section... but I’m slowly getting there. Had a few moments where my blood pressure dipped to serious levels (60/30) and whilst I was prepared for c section pain, I was not prepared for the back pain from the repeat failed spinals or the trapped wind in my neck and shoulders. Peppermint water is a godsend!

We’re home now and recovering nicely 💕💕💕
