Battery pack for pump?

Question

Is there an adapter that you can use batteries to power your pump? I tried googling it and couldn’t find one! 
If not is there a manual pump anyone recommends? 
Last question- does anyone use the silicon manual pumps while feeding on the other side? If so do you only feed from one side since you’re using the pump on the other?

Depends on your pump. I had a Medela pump in style with my first and it came with a battery pack. I now have a Medela sonata and it can be used wireless after charging.
I used the silicone pump before I went back to work and started pumping daily. I attached it on the free boob and it caught let down, it doesn’t really “pump”. If she wanted to switch sides, I switch her and switch the pump after I empty it in a bag, sometimes I get a bit more milk.

I use my electric pump while feeding.  I started way early thankfully so I have a HUGE stock pile in preparation for my supply to drop some when I go back to work.  I personally am more full in the morning so for the first 2-3 feeds I pump and feed.  This brings me into the afternoon when baby wants to nap for a bit and gives me time to do stuff around the house.  Then her witching hours start and we are parked on the couch most of the rest of the night.   I am slowly backing off as when I get back to work in a little less than a month my busy hours are from 9-12 then it is hit or miss.   Thankfully my pump has a build in battery compartment JUST Incase.  (I have the Evenflo).  I have had awesome success with this pump and swear by it.

breastfeeding only on one side is called block feeding which is the best way to feed the baby to ensure baby gets both for and hindmilk. It is not necessary to switch from one breast to the other breast during a single feeding cycle. Why are you wishing to pump while you're breastfeeding? Are you going back to work right away?
