Flying while pregnant ?

So I’m 5 w 4 d pregnant. By fiancé and I are eloping in British Columbia in June .. it’s a 4hr flight there (were from Ontario) . We’re gone for 10 days.. I’ll be 6 months by then. Is it safe to fly ?

As many have mentioned when it is medically safe to fly, I just think it worth mentioning that individual airlines have their own limit. Which is often before the medical one. So double check with the specific airline if they allow you to fly!

Different airlines have different rules on pregnant passengers, so you need to check with them also. If you need travel insurance, you'll need a policy that specifically covers pregnancy women and your baby.

Talk with your doctor, but they usually allow it until third trimester. I flew when I was 6 or 7 months.  Was just told to make sure I'm getting up and moving a bit as well as staying hydrated.

Ask your doctor. It’s different for everyone. Because of how low risk my pregnancy is, my doctor said I could fly all the way up to 37w as long as I felt good enough. But I’m not you or your doctor. Most women cannot fly in their third trimester, especially a long flight.

Yea your safe to fly until like 30 weeks my doctor says!

Imdefinitely going to ask my midwife about it. I don’t start seeing her until I’m 10 weeks.. I’ll be 24 weeks.. I don’t think it should be a problem if all goes well this pregnancy. I had preclamsia with my first.. terrible first trimester with my second, but this one is good so far :)
