Can sinusitis be linked with asthma?

So I have had a sinus infection ever since summer 2017 and in school a few weeks ago I felt like I almost couldn't breathe. I felt like I was breathing too much like my heart felt like it had too much oxygen and when I held my breath in I still needed air I heard that sinus infection can lead to asthma is that true? and if so any remedies or treatment that can help?

One does not lead to another. I used to work for an allergy and ENT clinic. You need to get your sinusitis under control with the help of an ENT. You also need to see an allergist to get on an asthma action plan and possibly do some allergy testing. What you are probably experiencing is inflammation in your sinuses and lungs. Drainage from your sinuses could enter your lungs making it harder to breathe
