It could be that you enjoy being with your boyfriend, he cheers you up and distract you from negative thoughts. When you're alone, you are more likely to dwell in your negative thoughts and emotions. Maybe it is helpful to find distractions and things to enjoy when you are by your self, how hard it may be to find something to enjoy when you are. What helped me is think about the things that used to bring me joy before depression and just doing those things even though I didn't care that much about them anymore.

it’s possible because when you’re diagnosed with depression you feel things more than the average person. usually like it’s almost okce you’re in a relationship and has depression bipolar etc. you become almost dependent on that person. i have depression it sucks not seeing my boyfriend but you gotta worry about yourself look for other things you enjoy doing. but girl you good it’s normal but try to keep your mind off of it

You should not have to have your boyfriend there for you to not feel depressed. Focus on doing things that make yourself feel good; walks, animals, mani/pedi, calling another friend or your family to chat, reading, etc.
