Will my period regulate?

Question

I have hypothyroidism and am on medicine to regulate it. Well, it has been in normal range for a few months but I started exercising and eating healthy, thus losing weight to aid in my journey to get pregnant. 
My question is, I haven’t had a period before now in about 7 or 8 months. Is it normal for this first period to be longer than a normal one? I’m going on day 8 of bleeding.

Yes I think that's probably normal. I was the opposite though. I was diagnosed with hypo about 3 months ago and one of the reasons they even tested for it was because my periods would be so long. 2 weeks long. I've been on the levo and for the past month and a half my levels have been good and last month I had a way shorter period maybe 7 days and not as painful but now this month has been weird again. spotted 5 days before AF was due a little for 2 or 3 days. then nothing and still today I'm 3 days late and no more spotting and no actual period.

Will my period regulate?
