Registry items people don’t buy

I’m only 22 weeks but I already have my registry pretty much done. My baby shower is April 28th however the Babies R Us in our area is closing down and liquidation sales begin the first week of February. An employee told us if we sign up for a credit card, we can use the 15% off for signing up, plus any buybuyBaby coupons we have, but only before the liquidation sales begin. I see this as a good time to get some items from my registry that people most likely won’t get us. I’m thinking bigger high ticket items like crib, changing table, and glider. But does anybody else think we would be wise to purchase with coupons and also after, during the liquidation sales? I’m a FTM so I’m not sure how this registry stuff works, and with 1 month between Baby Shower and DD I don’t want to be scrambling for important last minute items!
