So this is my labor and delivery story for my third baby due on January 21st! I have a 6 year old boy and 3 year old girl.. so since I have one of each o decided this was going to be the surprise tie breaker ! It was very easy to not find out for me ( I even had the gender is an envelope stuck to my fridge ) ! We were very excited for #3! But then my whole world was rocked when my fiancé and man that I have loved for 10 years went to jail when I was 5 months pregnant! That was the hardest thing I have been thru is my life! He will be in jail until April! So I went thru the rest of my pregnancy alone with my two kids and now I am a single mother of three! And then my grandpa passed away on thanksgiving ! My world was coming down around me and I didn’t have the one person I needed .... his family is the best tho and they have been here for me along with my family !

(Sorry just wanted to give alittle back story !)

So I have never gone into labor on my own.. had to be induced past my due date with both my other babies ! So I was really hoping that the third would be my lucky one !

And it was !!!!

So Monday the 15th of January I dropped off my son at school and took my daughter to her aunts house like usual and headed into work! Worked my normal day and picked them up around 6 got home at 7:30 and ate dinner ! Gave the kids a bath and put them to bed upstairs ! I was sitting on the couch enjoying my peace and quite but was disrupted by my crazy animal children upstairs .. so at 8:30-9 I got up to tell them to calm down and go to bed and as I was going upstairs my water broke !!! 💦💦

YES!! I couldn’t believe it !!! It was the craziest feeling like I was peeing my pants uncontrollably! Lol so I called my fiancé’s Mom and the hospital and they told me to come in ! My grandma came to watch the kids while I was in the hospital and my dad came to drive me to the hospital ( he put down the waterproof dog liner for his seats so I wouldn’t get my “juices” in his new truck ! Lol ) and Rae met me at the hospital ( fiancé’s Mom) ! The Friday before I was dilated to a 4 and they did a membrane sweep and I had been losing my mucus plug all weekend ! So they didn’t check me right away .. but they did get my iv in and started the antibiotics as I was gbs positive ! I wasn’t having noticeable contractions at this point .. but a few hours later they started to pick up and I was around a 6 when they checked me next .. I think it was around 6 am when I asked for the epidural that only worked on my right side and I could still feel my vag 100%! I felt them put the catheter in and everything ! It was horrible ! And I have a high pain tolerance! But once they put the epidural in my blood pressure dropped and I wanted to throw up and I kept drifting in and out, they had to squeeze the iv fluids into me to get me back to normal! But after all that I was ok and had a really good breathing technique down that worked really well for me ! Around 7:30 ish they had to call the doctor to come in who was at her house a few towns over in a snow storm ! I knew she wouldn’t make it ! They were telling me not to push but my body was pushing and I couldn’t stop it ! So I told them we have to do this now ! So I had the student doctors deliver my baby with the watch of the resident doctor in the room ! I only pushed 3-4 times and my baby was out ! Healthy as ever !!

My beautiful baby girl was born at 8:21 on Tuesday January 16th!!!

My little sweetie is an angel baby!! I think she has been sent down for me to have a little bit of happiness in my life! Everyone just lives her to pieces!!! Big brother and sister love her so much!

She will be two weeks old tomorrow and she is now 9 lbs ! And nursing great !
