How early did you start planning and buying decorations???

I was engaged for a year and a half before getting married but i did start gathering thing i liked and could use threw out that year especially after holidays when things were on sale.

We are planning for either this fall or next spring. I have to pay for everything myself. My parents aren't helping. I know where I'm having it, and starting to look for decorations I didn't know if I was crazy .

A few months after we got engaged. You really don't need that much time. We literally just booked our venue and we are two months from our wedding, lol. We are almost all planned otherwise though :)

I started right away, but we had a short engagement (4 months). Everything was quick but laid back. I wasn't super picky about anything. I'd suggest downloading the app Wedding Wire. The girls there are great and it's a fun community for wedding planning!

I personally started planning early and buying things in small quantities so you don't have to come out of pocket a big fat lump sum. My dress I picked out months ago and have been making payments. Things are not cheap getting married and even sometimes cheap isn't always good. We found out venue last year and made payments on that too. So it worked out for us. We get married in August and I will also be 5 months pregnant then lol. My baby is due in December and my daughters 18th bday is in Jan and then she will graduate in June. So I have a very busy year.
