Promise rings for men?

I wanted to do something for Valentine’s Day- cliche I know but would it be weird to get your bf a promise ring? I feel like it’s something the guy usually does but Idk? Have any of you girls done that? Or should I get him something else ? Help 😭

I feel like promise rings are for young couples that are far from getting engaged and just want to give a symbol of love to their partner. 
I gave one to my first serious boyfriend when I was 19 years old. He loved it, and had already given me a promise ring before that. He didn't turn out to be the one, but I think it was nice that we gave each other those rings bc we were so in love at the time.

My bf got me my promise ring years ago for Christmas and I got him one on valentines after. There’s no age limit for promise rings I know tons of people that received them in their late 20s it’s all up to what you want 😊

i got a guy a promise ring once after he got me one. he broke his promise by having a kid w/ someone while we were together,  so i jacked it back off his hand and its in a landfill somewhere in Oklahoma.
