Tampons!!

I’m 13 and just stared my period in November and have been using pads ever since. Although pads are convent I feel like i’m ready to use tampons. Well, I tried putting a tampon in, but I couldn’t find my vaginal hole. I think I may have found it, but I think it’s to small to be a vaginal hole. I just really need help and some “older sister” advice please!!
